Recently my hubby made a stop at a car wash infront of a popular hardware shop called Jaya DIY Centre, which is situated along Jalan 17/21 in Petaling Jaya. A plant retailer is situated within the compound of the shop, hence giving me some time to check out the place.

In fact I often pass by this shop but had never visited till that day. After visiting, I can now tell you that the place is packed with lots of good stuffs, I mean plants of many kinds ;)

The plants and garden supplies can be seen right from the time you step into the shop. Using lots of wooden shelves to display products, the shop looks rustic and chic.

Orchard Green Agriculture @ Pasar Tani Mega PJ Section 17

PJ folks, now there is another reason why you should wake up early to visit the Pasar Tani Mega at PJ Section 17. Here you will find a plant vendor with much to offer and plenty to discover. Anyway don't take my word for it. Go see for yourself and pick up one or two local fruit trees or herb plants for your garden...

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju4wj7HdYOEVFX0VAnWu-FpI1dv0QXXUy8vzsTJ7Q917Ht8lNR_CAcb0xbgRIhxuVjPQ3IbCcCrRDrAdR6BCR8NXdg-9CXJ8EUN5_G3nrCu1RWTWaMZn-9q8r56ylQlbTXXM9CBzwdePQ/s1600/green+orchard1.jpg"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju4wj7HdYOEVFX0VAnWu-FpI1dv0QXXUy8vzsTJ7Q917Ht8lNR_CAcb0xbgRIhxuVjPQ3IbCcCrRDrAdR6BCR8NXdg-9CXJ8EUN5_G3nrCu1RWTWaMZn-9q8r56ylQlbTXXM9CBzwdePQ/s320/green+orchard1.jpg" width="320" /></a>

En Arifin's stall opens from 7.00am to 11.00am on Thursdays. They have a good range of culinary herbs, medicinal plants as well as fruit trees. And what is even more attractive are the plant tags! The plants are named, priced and described with details on how to grow them, their characteristics and beneficial properties.

Yin Yin Nursery

While travelling along Sprint Highway today, I decided to stop by the nursery that's located at PJ Section 17 (just before the newly-opened Tropicana City Mall) to check out the place. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVBbDmQ88shKqGVKZ_6TWI6lXIuH9w9tLwhX4aUoHmqzk1itIz370OFBTQ2t_OZBsLJ-6Q23XrgWiogLqSmGEJAhLOuKj-x5qsG1XAIN4fTRyN1d4wCHCysZfLv3vOzJZtOaUvNaW-en8/s1600-h/IMG_1291.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338558630535300658" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVBbDmQ88shKqGVKZ_6TWI6lXIuH9w9tLwhX4aUoHmqzk1itIz370OFBTQ2t_OZBsLJ-6Q23XrgWiogLqSmGEJAhLOuKj-x5qsG1XAIN4fTRyN1d4wCHCysZfLv3vOzJZtOaUvNaW-en8/s320/IMG_1291.JPG" style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 209px;" /></a> Yin Yin Nursery opens daily from 8.30am to 7.00pm and indeed has plenty to offer. The nursery has been in this business for about 13 years, specialising in rock garden, waterfall, grass turfing, garden maintenance and landscaping works. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtpWEgR-D-TtbeKxJ2CJdPg7vPMAHS4Gg53MHQaxAJw-9cGKRjvzMzJOJIDDhytkgJhkPZAEcg28p4_6XyVJuP7MUcWXmYdZn3KtHHKdHdu57qZ4pvy1HdQzZ1fi7Fdwk8kRx9x8vHcpk/s1600-h/IMG_1300.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338558634884054098" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtpWEgR-D-TtbeKxJ2CJdPg7vPMAHS4Gg53MHQaxAJw-9cGKRjvzMzJOJIDDhytkgJhkPZAEcg28p4_6XyVJuP7MUcWXmYdZn3KtHHKdHdu57qZ4pvy1HdQzZ1fi7Fdwk8kRx9x8vHcpk/s320/IMG_1300.JPG" style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 210px;" /></a> They have a vast variety of tropical and flower plants. The plants that caught my attention was the flower plants in small pots like Petunia, Periwinkle, Daisy, Rose, Kalanchoe, Thunbergia, Gardenia, Ixora, Begonia, Euphorbia Mili etc. The Petunias, Periwinkles and some tiny flowers that look like daisy are in hanging pots placed right at the entrance.
