Puncak Segar

Along the quiet main road of Janda Baik is a newly opened plant retailer that I stumbled upon while looking for another plant vendor, a nursery, that one of my readers recommended. Since I have come all the way here from KL, I decided to check out this unpretentious outlet before moving on to my primary destination.

Puncak Segar, located in the 'fresh' highlands of Janda Baik, is a pleasant retailer to visit if your are around Bukit Tinggi or Genting Highlands.
There are many beautiful plants sitting on racks and hanging from above, infront of the shop.

This retailer opens from 9.00am to 6.00pm daily (it is occasionally closed on Fridays) and it is truly a unique kind of plant grocery store too as they have lots of gardening supplies as well.

Plant Variety Rating: 3 | There are more than 50 types of plants available here but all are carefully selected for its 'highland' location.

Some unique plants that can be planted healthily here are the lipstick vine, Christmas cactus and poinsettia that comes in pink and cream colour.

There are a number of cacti, calathea, alocasia, dracaena, dieffenbachia, anthurium, peace lily and other pretty flowering plants. Shrubs and ferns available as well.

Plant Condition Rating: 4 | The condition of most of the plants are very good.

The aglaonema and caladium were the two plants that attracted my attention to take a closer look at this rack that is located at the back of the outlet
(pic below).

Layout Rating: 4 | While most of the plants are put outside, there are some placed in the store as well. I like how the potted plants are displayed. The owner really made the plants look very visible and easy browse.

Garden Products Rating: 3.5 | There are ceramic pots and gardening supplies available here.

As mentioned above, the outlet is located along the main road at Janda Baik. To view the map, click here.
