Choo Lan Florist & Gardening

Walking into Choo Lan Florist & Gardening is like going into someone's home. The nursery is like a garden in a house compound with the plants and pots placed outside either under the porch or out in the open.

While I was roaming around freely, I saw many familiar plants and like the three neighbouring nurseries, Choo Lan Florist & Gardening also sells a number of plants that would make excellent houseplants.

The nursery opens daily from 8.00am to 6.00pm. 

The picture below shows the area under the porch. There are chairs for tired legs or to just laze around ;) The potted plants provide ideas for your own home. I like how they used the potted happiness trees (Garcinia subelliptica). They look so pretty while at the same time acting as screening trees. 

There are many trailing annuals as well as spider plants being hung up outside.




Here is another view of the porch. I could see many shade-loving plants like aglaonema and anthurium.

Plant Variety Rating: 3.85 | There are many types of shrubs including bonsais and orchids. Some are stored at the back of the nursery.  

Plant Condition Rating: 4.00 | The plants are all in good condition.

Hidden at the back of the nursery are orchids, palms and many other shade-loving plants. The orchids are the ones you can grab, go and use as gifts. The blooming pink orchids are so beautiful.

 

Layout Rating: 3.85 | The aisles are clean and tidy - thumbs up!

 

Garden Products Rating: 4.00 | The pots come in many sizes and various exciting design and shapes.






Besides pots, they also sell fertilisers and other gardening supplies.
