Fragrance Landscaping & Plant Rental

Moving around the Ampang Hilir area one day, I noticed the many embassies and residential homes (likely to be occupied by expatriates) in the vicinity. And while travelling along Jalan Kedondong, I was pleasantly surprised to see several nurseries. They were located below the high tension cables. Still they look beautiful as all are filled with lots of greeneries.

Upon entering one of them, I was greeted by a friendly elderly Chinese gentlemen. He told me that Fragrance Landscaping & Plant Rental opens daily from 8.00am to 6.00pm and has been in business for the past 26 years. 

Besides selling and renting plants, they also provide landscaping and maintenance services. 

The nursery was packed to the brim with plants and almost all of them were already planted in pots. 



An independent plant vendor by the name of Syarie occupied one small part of the nursery. Written on the banner was Syarie Exotic Rare Orchids and Hoyas with its contact number 012-383 4141. Each pot was labelled with a price tag but no plant ID though.

There were a lot of potted hoyas in different pot sizes.

 

Plant Variety Rating: 3.75 | I was glad to see that certain plants were tagged with Plant ID and all complete with pictures. 

 


Most of the plants were parked under nursery netting. They were mostly shrubs that would make excellent indoor foliage plants, like ficus plants, spider plants and palms. There were some aquatic plants such as water lettuce, water lily and water hyacinth.




They also sell grass.

Plant Condition Rating: 3.85 | The plants are in good condition especially those that are bigger sizes.

Layout Rating: 4.00 | Most of the plants are placed on the ground as they are in big pots. Those smaller ones are placed on the racks.



The plants were all grouped accordingly so the place looked really neat and orderly.




There were some bougainvilleas at one part of the nursery.

Garden Products Rating: 3.00 | Like most nurseries, the soil are placed right at the gate for easy handling.




There were many medium-sized glazed clay pots.
