Leong Kwai Yeow Landscape

While driving past one of my favourite seafood restaurants at Kampung Subang, I spotted a nursery with lots of orchids flowering. From outside a row of local vandas are noticeable and on entering the place, one will find plants arranged on racks and in rows on the right.

On the day of my visit, I was greeted by an elderly man who was watering the plants and he turned out to be the owner of the nursery. He mentioned that they supply orchids to hotels and one of the hotels nearby has bought a lot of terete vandas for landscaping.

Leong Kwai Yeow Landscape opens from 8.00am to 7.00pm daily. They have been in business for more than thirty years, supplying orchids and shrubs besides providing turfing and tree planting services.

Plant Variety Rating: 3.25 | There are lots of different kinds of orchids and in various colours. I especially like the fact that they also have some stock of bamboo and ground orchids.

I also saw some hydrangeas and next to the gate were many pots of money plant. And if you are looking for terete vanda orchids, this nursery has them in a few colours.

Plant Condition Rating: 4.25 | Most of the plants are in very good condition.

Layout Rating: 3.75 | All orchids are orderly arranged on racks.

Garden Products Rating: 2.50 | They are lots of little ceramic pots and supplies for planting orchids.

Besides plants, the nursery also sells some fruits near the gate.

The nursery is near the South Sea Seafood Restaurant. To view the map, click here.

What a wonderful nursery! The vandas must be so beautiful, and expensive too. I love the idea of fruits being sold as well. Hats off to the owner for maintaining such a place. May his business thrive forever.

hello Steph, I didn't notice in the past that you have two blogs. Force of habit is just to click the old one. And you also write in NST, i know Autumn Belle writes there too? No wonder you have lots of uncommon plants in your own home, you are a garden professional. But i still would like to have your Hoya pubicalyx, hahaha! BTW, this is my new name from my new blog...Andrea too!

Anonymous, that's an interesting plant! I have not look for this plant myself. I suggest you search for it at nurseries at Sg Buloh. Also from this nursery... http://mygreenfinder.blogspot.com/2009/09/nhy-csb-enterprise.html Later, appreciate if you could update outcome. Thanks in advance and good luck!
