Z & J Kasturi Enterprise

I was delighted to be greeted by a little child (probably the youngest sales attendant I have ever met at a nursery in all my visits!) when I stepped into this plant vendor's premises. He then led me to a house that's situated at the back. Here was where I met Puan Zainab who was with a few of her other grandchildren.

Having been in operation for about four years, Z & J Kasturi Enterprise is an unassuming neighbourhood plant retailer that caters to the gardening needs of the Bukit Beruntung community. It opens from 9.00am to 7.00pm daily.



Aside from the normal plant retailing, the proprietor also provides some gardening services.



Plant Variety Rating: 2.5 | There were limited stocks when I was there as I was told that new stocks have not arrived yet.

I spotted some nice croton, coleus and aglaonema plants.



Some bougainvillea, flaming beauty and euphorbia milii were seen blooming.



There are a number of nice ferns and shrubs placed together tightly in corners and at the sides the aisles.



Among the plants were some aquatics.



Plant Condition Rating: 3.5 | Most of the plants are in reasonably good condition.

Below is one plant that caught my attention. The plant has white leaves that looks like snow.



Layout Rating: 3.0 | The retail section of this outlet is in front of the proprietor's house. The space is quite tight. Also the ground is not flat and there are steps for walking up and down the slopes.



Garden Products Rating: 3.0 | They have some really nice ceramic pots.
