Planet Green Landscapes

Planet Green Landscapes is a one-stop garden centre that provides gardening supplies and services, all under one roof. The operator also specialises in the design, building and maintenance of indoor and outdoor landscapes. I notice from the name card that plants for rent are also available.

The nursery has been in this business for about 10 years and opens daily from 9.30am to 7.00pm.

When I stepped into this nursery I was greeted by the owner himself, Prabhakaran. He showed me a number of auspicious plants that are popular among the Chinese, especially during the festive season. He mentioned that the nursery would be stocking up lots of wonderful plants to usher in the Chinese New Year (CNY), such as chrysanthemum, little bird plant, golden money plant, bamboo shoots, lime tree and bromeliad. On top of that they even have plenty of CNY decorative items (very entrepreneurial!)

One thing that make this nursery stood out from the rest is that they have an in-house workshop to produce soil. Hence they are able to offer a bag of garden soil at only RM1, which is a bit hard to find nowadays! Planet Green Landscapes also produces fertiliser soil.

Plant Variety Rating: 4 | Their range of ornamental plants include wayside trees, palms, fruit trees, aquatic plants, climbers, medicinal plants and carnivorous plants.

During my visit, I saw many beautiful plants like anthurium, sword fern, aglaonema, rose, desert rose, petunia and other ferns and their allies.

Aside from ornamental plants, they also have plenty of local bud grafted fruit trees. They even have petai tree! The nursery also provides maintenance services for fruit trees to their customers. So if you have a fruit tree that is not bearing fruit, they can help.

Plant Condition Rating: 4 | The condition of most of the plants are very good.

The pic below shows a bog plant with heart-shaped leaves and lady's finger plant that are available there.

Layout Rating: 4 | The nursery sits on a slope. As you enter the nursery, you are actually at the top of the slope. The main shop is at the entrance. Moving down the slope, you would find many shrubs and fruit trees.

The soil producing workshop is at another side of the slope.

In and outside the shop are stacks of ceramic and plastic pots. The garden decorative items are all placed on the racks. Overall all items and plants are neatly arranged and there are plenty of spaces for customers to move about.

Garden Products Rating: 4.5 | There are a variety of pebbles, slabs, ornamental ceramic, plastic pots, garden decor items and gardening accessories. Many types of fertilisers and seeds are available as well.

The nursery is located along Persiaran Awana, opposite Continental Tyre shop (Taman Alam Jaya)
and very near to The Challenger Sports Centre. To view the map, click here.

Wow, I'd love to go to a place like that! Every time I see the nurseries there it makes me realize that we do not have variety with pots....whether ceramic or clay!

Other regions of India have a wide variety but not our region. But it's always lovely to see posts like this one where so many things are shown. Loved it, Steph!

Hi, that's a good grass to have. But I am sorry I do not know which nursery is selling it.

I just went to Q-Packs Nursery. It is actually located at Taman Alam Jaya (opposite Continental Tyre shop) and not at Taman Cuepacs.

Hey thanks!! I will amend the location direction details after this.

Would you happen to know the actual name of the plant in the photo?

Just below the caption;

"The pic below shows the elephant ear and lady's finger plant that are available there."

The plant on the right is not an elephant ear, it is a plant I own that can live comfortably either as an aquatic plant or potted on soil.

It's not I think from the Colocasia or Alocasia family as the leaves are almost round.

Has been driving me crazy, hope you can help, thanks : )

Sorry about that and thank you for pointing it out.

Check out bog heart leaves (Homalomena expedita).

Kind regards,
Stephanie
