Damansara Enterprise
Sandwiched between Petaling Jaya and Taman Tun Dr Ismail is this nursery that is well-positioned for the convenience of those living or working nearby to drop by for plants and garden sundries.
The operator of Damansara Enterprise has been in this business for about 25 years, specialising in landscaping, rock gardens, exotic potteries, fertilisers and turfing.
The nursery is opened everyday from 9.00am to 7.00pm.
Plant Variety Rating: 4 | More than 100 types of plants can be found in this nursery. They have a number of aquatic plants, ferns, trees and shrubs.
Some of the plants I noticed while I was there include old-man's beard, hardy begonia, leopard flower and spider tresses.
At one corner of the nursery I saw many orchids that are in bloom and in many colours.
I also found many lotus plants in big pots.
There were a number of alocasia, colocasia, dieffenbachia, spathoglotiss and croton plants too.
Plant Condition Rating: 4 | Most of the plants are in good condition especially the orchids and ferns. Some potted flowering plants, like hydrangeas and pentas, look quite good too.
Layout Rating: 3.5 | Most of the plants are properly arranged and hung on wooden racks, making it easy to browse as they are at eye level. The pots and garden accessories are placed at the back of the nursery.
Many interesting shrubs like ixora and bougainvillea are placed at the front, near the entrance gate.
Garden Product Rating: 4.5 | They are a number of plastic and ceramic pots, gravels, seeds, garden accessories, fertilisers and soil sold here.
The nursery is located on the fringe of Damansara Kim, along the portion of Jalan Damansara that runs parallel to Jalan SS 20/10. To view the map, click here.
