Madam Lim @ SS2 Market

There are a lot of interesting stuffs you can find in morning wet markets nowadays. One of which are plants.

During my visit to the SS2 market a few days ago, I was introduced to a plant that's a new craze in town (according to the retailer I met). This plant has flowers that take the shape of a little bird. Many curious passers-by stopped to enquire about this plant.

This stall (operating from a car boot!) opens from 6.30am to 11.00am everyday at this market. The operator normally parks her car next to Hong Leong Bank.

Plant Variety Rating: 2.5 | There are a number of popular ferns and flower plants in pots being sold. Each type however has limited quantity.

When I was there, the desert rose plants were quickly snapped up. Other flower plants they have include petunia, daisy, euphorbia milii, anthurium, orchid, kalanchoe and medinilla.

There are a variety of herbs and ferns being sold as well.

Plant Condition Rating: 4 | Most of the plants are in reasonably good condition.

Layout Rating: 1.5 | The plants are placed randomly on the road, in the car boot, on the car roof and passenger seats.

Garden Products Rating: 1 | Gardeners are able to buy some fertilisers from this retailer. I saw some plastic pots also.

The stall does not have a permanent location. Click here for directions to SS2 morning wet market.
