Kohortica Nursery @ Garden Mart - CLOSED

Garden Mart at Tropicana is 'your concept garden nurseries' with 38 nursery and gardening product retail lots. The first nursery that I stopped by when I visited the place recently was Kohortica Nursery. The entrance of this nursery is very welcoming as it has a spacious open space and customers will be greeted by many small potted plants like portulaca, yesterday-today-tomorrow, copper leaf, codyline, Chinese croton firestorm, dracaena etc. Kohortica Nursery opens daily from 8.00am to 6.00pm. On Saturday and Sunday it closes at 7.00pm. Plant Variety Rating: 3.5 | More than 50 types of tropical ornamental palm, shrub, tree, climber, ground cover as well as aquatic plants. Mostly young or in-between in terms of age. I saw a number of flower plants and climbers like desert petunia, golden shrimp plant, yellow walking iris, bromeliad, azalea, allamanda, anthurium, euphorbia milii, copper leaf etc. On the right side of the nursery, there are many plants lining up on a terrace such as young snake plant, cacti, climbers with flowers, water loving plants, shaped ficus, firecracker flower etc. I also saw a number of green and lively yuccas, costus, juniper, rain lily, alocasia, cyperus papyrus, ponytail palm, agave, cycas etc. Under a shed, there are bromeliad, azalea, dieffenbachia, dracaena, staghorn fern, bird's nest fern, old-man's-beard, spider plant, calathea, golden money plant, orchid etc. Plant Condition Rating: 4 | The plants are generally in fine and healthy condition. At one corner, I noticed a number of grown desert rose and cryptanthus plants. Layout Rating: 4 | The whole place is well organised and shoppers can browse in comfort. Plants are neatly arranged on racks as well as on the ground. Garden Products Rating: 4 | There are a variety of ornamental ceramic and plastic pots as well as fertilisers and soil.
