Semaian Bunga Muniandy
Semaian Bunga Muniandy is a nursery that opens daily from 8.30am to 7.00pm. They are closed for only two days every year, for Deepavali. They have been in this business for the past 28 years.
This nursery is located in Damansara Utama and can be seen along the the LDP highway, on your left if you are heading towards 1-Utama Shopping Centre.
My visit on 7 May 2009 was quite a pleasant one even though it was hot and sunny that day. There were staff on duty to attend to my needs.
I found quite a number of ornamental plants, pots and garden accessories at this nursery.
The company specialises in Baliness garden fountains and nursery plants. Besides that, they also offer landscaping, garden upkeep, general home repairs and maintenance and lorry rental services. Talk about diversification!
Plant Variety Rating: 4 | More than 100 types of tropical ornamental plants. Most ferns and trees are young or in-between in terms of age.
The plants which caught my attention were the Deer's Horn Plant (Pokok Tanduk Rusa) and water plants like Lotus and Water Lilies.
Plant Condition Rating: 3 | The plants are generally in quite good condition.
Layout Rating: 3.5 | The same kind of plants can be found throughout the garden. Hence if you are looking for a particular plant, you have to enquire if they have another one elsewhere. However, there are also some plants which are grouped accordingly.
Garden Products Rating: 3.5 | There are a variety of ceramic pots. Some pots are placed undershade while some are outside on the ground. They have strawberry pots and some water plant containers as well. Some garden accessories look like they have been kept there a long time.
They also sell soil and fertilisers.

i know this place. it's very near my house and yet i have never step foot there before. actually i always have this impression that nurseries are always full mosquitoes, messy and muddy. guess I haven’t been to one for a long time. :-p
Nowadays, nurseries are more organised. Fyi, this is the best place for you to get soil in small packet :-)
