Villea Gain Garden

I was at the Villea Gain Garden recently, looking for some indoor plants and I am pleased to report they have lots to offer :D

This nursery is located near the Leprosy Centre and just a short distance away from the Sungai Buloh Hospital. After passing the hospital, look out for the nursery on the right side of the road. The nursery has an assortment of bougainvilleas in front of their premises and a big signage to welcome you.

Just like their old Villea Gain Garden at Garden Mart, Petaling Jaya Tropicana, they have lots of attractive bougainvilleas. Can you guess now why the nursery is so named?

Opens daily from 8.00am to 6.00pm, Villea Gain Garden has a wide stock foliage and flowering plants and herbs for sale. The owner, Fang Kee (or Jaykee) knows all the plants by their English names! Brilliant right? While there, he also showed me his brother's nursery, Fang Kiat Florist & Landscaping which is located close by.

The helpers at that nursery were able to give advice on how to water indoor plants i.e. one cup to a small potted plant and once a week which is good for newbies to understand. I however prefer to water my indoor plants deeply once a week and leave them near a sunny window for at least a day to absorb as much sunlight as they could. This way, they can survive the indoor environment for a longer period of time.

Plant Variety Rating: 4.00 | Upon entering the nursery, you will be greeted by a wide selection of plants of different sizes, ranging from small potted ones to taller ones. The offerings made me realised that they are still many more plants that I have not grown before, especially those that are larger in size and the more current new varieties.

Spotted a baby monstera... wow! Given its big and distinctive patterned leaves, this plant will definitely make a bold addition to any home.

The array of herb plants was extra-ordinary. All so green and fresh, hmm...

Plant Condition Rating: 4.75 | The plants are generally in very good condition and looking ready to please customers. While checking out the plants, I spotted many pretty succulents that can really put a smile on one's face. Look below...

You just want to bring them all home, right?

  

Layout Rating: 4.75 | I saw many colourful annuals and shrubs including roses too!

It was easy to move around and inspect the plants that are placed on table-height racks.

Garden Products Rating: 4.00 | There were lots of bio-degradable BABA Gardening pots, organic fertilisers, organic pesticides, seeds and other garden supplies and products.
