Kalis Nursery & Landscaping

<span style="font-size: 85%;"><span style="font-family: "verdana";">Kalis Nursery & Landscaping is an exceptional nursery that was recommended by one of my readers. The nursery is located at Janda Baik, accessible via the foothills of Genting Highlands or Kampung Bukit Tinggi.<br /> <br /> I found the place after asking some of the locals here for directions as it was my first time visiting Janda Baik. The whole nursery looks more like a botanical park than a commercial nursery. The ones under the nursery net are mostly young plants.<br /> <br /> It is a pleasant stroll browsing for plants at this nursery. If you looking for a heliconia for your garden, make sure you tour the entire nursery first as you will be overwhelmed by its varieties. It was the last weekend of January when I checked out Annway Garden Centre, one of the two nurseries there.<br /><br />What caught my attention on reaching the outlet was a red tent in the centre of its premises. That's the most expensive one I saw at the stall that weekend! But don't worry, the not-so-rare cum young ones cost only about RM5, which is pretty affordable for beginners ;-)<br /> <br /> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Plant Variety Rating: 3.75</span> | I was amazed by the variety of nepenthes, sarracenia, drosera, cephalotus and heliamphora that was on display. The nepenthes are certainly going to draw the attention of Chinese shoppers as it is quite a popular ornamental plant especially during this festive season. To some, pitchers are considered 'sacks of peace'.
