Wawasan Mewah Hijau Nursery

Wawasan Mewah Hijau Nursery (also known as Kim Garden) is located along Jalan Desa Utama. This nursery has been around for about 15 years, opening daily from 9.30am to 6.30pm and closes for only a few days each year during Chinese New Year.

Besides retailing potted plants, garden ornaments and soil, the operator also provides turfing and landscaping services.

Plant Variety Rating: 4 | More than 100 types of tropical ornamental palms, shrubs, trees, climbers, ground covers and aquatic plants. They are young, maturing and mature plants.

As I entered the nursery, I noticed that they have a number of small beautiful flowering potted plants on the racks like gloxina, periwinkle, amaryliss, anthurium, buttercup, hydrangea and portulaca. They also have other flowering plants like desert rose, jasmine, rose and medinilia.

I also spotted some well-formed foliages like coleus, purple, polka dot, kalanchoe and prayer leaf plants.

The aquatic plants are just as attractive.

Plants like calathea, sword ferns, dracaena, cordyline are arranged on the ground and racks and some are hung in pots.

There are cycas, bucida, palm and other trees and shrubs.

Plant Condition Rating: 4 | The plants are generally in pleasant condition.

While browsing around, I found a wonderful tree (pic below) which has pink fruits. There are also many lovely bonsai trees at this nursery.

Layout Rating: 4 | The plants are neatly arranged on racks as well as on the ground. The layout is very orderly and well-planned with ample space to move about.

Garden Products Rating: 4 | There are a variety of garden ornaments and ceramic and plastic pots.

The nursery is located near the OBD Garden Towers Condominium. For directions, click here.

Do you visit a nursery each week? That is lots of driving. Have a safe drive and hope you enjoy each visit.

VueJardin, will do. TQ. Most of the time I visit nurseries during weekends.

It's nice to have your hubby tag along during weekend, some of the nursery is not that safe. I only go to the home improvement store nursery, except one time I can't find the persimmon tree at regular store, went and got it at a local family owned nursery. They don't have many customers, it's too quiet and a bit scary to walk alone.

My aim is to help you find a vendor near you and to encourage more people to be interested in greening the earth in a natural way i.e. by adding greens to their home!

Greens make a garden. The various gardening ideas published here are for you to get new inspirations for your garden. If you would like to advertise on this site or have a nursery that you would like me to review, please feel free to drop me a note by email.
