Vase Trading

If you love Adenium Obesum or desert rose, this is the nursery that you should visit. It has some of the coolest and fascinating hybrids from Thailand.

To date, they have about 50 to 60 of these imported hybrids.

Vase Trading opens its doors to customers from 9.00am to 6.00am daily. The owners have vast experience, having been in this business for the past 20 years.

It is said that Desert Rose can live to be well over 100 years. In this nursery, the oldest plants are about twenty-ish years old and they are selling for about above RM2,000.

The youngest plants are about few months old. The cheapest plant is about RM2.

Plant Variety Rating: 3.5 | About 50 to 60 types of desert rose and other tropical ornamental plants. The plants ranges from young to matured, in terms of age.

The desert rose hybrids that are in the nursery have very interesting names like One Day Yellow, Double Happiness, Red Lips, Miss Thailand, Ang Koh, Chiangmai Beauty, Fox Eye, Lily, Wow, Panda, Touch Stone, Snow White, the Peach, Golden Star, Chow Paya River, Brave Heart, Wile, Sun Shine, Red Cheek, Thanks Mom, Pink Hibiscus, Red Cheek, Ipanema, Pink Butterfly, Pahang Angel, Sweet Sugar, Kuantan Gold, Dang Sang Russamee, New Harry, Red Berry, Calypso Stripe, Pink Hibiscus, Kiss Me Quick, Liliput, Harry Potter, Milk Shake, Silver Star, Sakura, My Country, Gemmo, Variegated Red Bloom, New Black etc.

Some new hybrid species even have double-petal flowers.

Other plants like tropical amaryllis, cordyline, begonia, deffenbachia, dracaena, euphorbia mili and cycad are also available here.

Plant Condition Rating: 4 | All the plants are in good condition. Most were blooming when I was there and the blooms were well shaped.

Layout Rating: 4 | The plants are neatly arranged on racks and on the ground. They are grouped together by their age. Walking around this nursery is a brisk.

Garden Products Rating: 4 | There sell a variety of ornamental ceramic and porcelain pots. Here, you can also find soil and fertilisers that help desert rose to bloom.

We went there last week. Most of their adeniums are single-layered. The cheapest one (about 1 year old)is about RM95. Other prices they have quoted is RM150, RM250. They have put their old adeniums in a cage under locks. These were beautiful. However, this is the most expensive nursery selling adeniums that we have ever visited so far.

Thank you for leaving your comment here. It is good to know their prices. Btw I recall they have small little ones in front of the nursery that were selling at RM5 each.
