Cold Storage @ Ikano

While I was shopping for groceries at Cold Storage at the Ikano Power Centre, I saw a pergola-styled shelf at its entrance, next to the cashier counter.

It is good to see that houseplants can be purchased anywhere nowadays, even at a supermarket! The operating hours of Cold Storage is from 9.00am to 10.00pm daily.

Plant Variety Rating: 2 | Less than 30 types of houseplants, mostly young plants such as cactus, dieffenbachia, jade plant, dracaena, snake plant, golden money plant, palm, florida beauty, orchid etc.

Plant Condition Rating: 4 | Most of the plants here are in very good condition and packaged nicely in pots.

Layout Rating: 4 | The garden section of the supermarket is very organised with the plants neatly arranged on shelves.

Garden Products Rating: 1 | They have garden rocks, fertilisers and plant jelly on display.

Most of the plants come in nice hydro and ornamental ceramic pots. So they need not be re-potted and would make good cheery gifts.

Barry, those plants packaged nicely with pots are of course expensive. Malaysia is a beautiful tropical country. Do consider this country as your next holiday destination ;-).

Is Ikea selling plants at your town?

Yes Ikea sells plants. I have put the review of Ikea under 'Home Centres'. If you would like to see some of the plants they are selling, you can just click above 'Home Centres' tab. The link is http://mygreenfinder.blogspot.com/2009/05/ikea-2.html
